It has been decided to implement the project activities in additional six districts namely, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Ramanathapuram and Pudukottai with effect from 01.04.2016 and it has been planned to finance 1500 micro enterprises over a period of 3 years with the support of NABARD Financial Services Ltd. (NABFINS). To implement the various livelihood activities / micro enterprises, it has been proposed to engage the services of consultants and young professionals for providing expert guidance and complete handholding support.

2)PTSLP extended to 6 additional districts:

PTSLP which was functioning in 6 coastal districts of Tamilnadu is extended to another 6 districts which covers the whole coastline district of Tamilnadu. The implementation of PTSLP in the additional districts has been initiated from December 2016, , and the official launch of the program will be done on or before 15t of April 2017.

3)Gilbert F. Houngbo became the sixth President:

Gilbert Fossoun Houngbo (born 4 February 1961[1]) is a Togolese politician who was Prime Minister of Togo from September 2008[2] to July 2012. Previously he worked at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Since 2013, Houngbo has been Deputy Director-General for Field Operations and Partnership at the International Labour Office. On 14 February 2017, Houngbo was appointed as the sixth President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development, and will take office on 1 April 2017
